End of the Year Check-in

Spring is definitely in the air! With all the year end events, students are certainly beginning to get excited. However, we still have five more weeks of school left and much testing still to complete. We'd appreciate it if you could have a conversation or two about school and learning expectations as we close out this year. Please encourage your child to continue to stay focused on doing his/her best work, persevering through difficult challenges socially and academically, and staying the course through the end. We thank you for your support in helping your child finish the year strong.

End of the Year Testing

M-STEP is mostly complete! There are a few students that will need additional time to finish and we will work with BEAR team to help students finish those tests over the next two week. All MSTEP must be completed by May 17.

With MSTEP mostly done, we will now be taking NWEA tests the next two weeks. We are proud of the efforts of our students to do their best. The schedule for NWEA is below. There is really no way students can "study" for these tests, but you can help your child be ready for these by:

  • Making sure your child has a good night's rest.
  • Making sure your child eats a healthy breakfast.
  • Providing a positive send off to school in the morning.
  • Not scheduling appointments on these days.
Thanks so much for encouraging your student through this test-taking season! It's a lot of time and your kiddos are working hard and putting forth their best efforts do show what they know.

Science Test Wednesday

We will have a science test this Wednesday over our Forces and Motion unit. Study guides are going home on Monday. Please be sure your child reviews the information to be prepared for Wednesday's test.

Multiplication and Division Facts...ICE CREAM!

Our next multiplication and division challenge continues...ice cream!  Please have your child continue reviewing their multiplication and division facts.  The ice cream challenge will be very similar to the pizza challenge we did in January, but instead of slices, students will earn ice cream scoops and toppings. We will celebrate everyone's hard work learning their multiplication and division facts with an ice cream party at the end of the year. :)
