Teacher Appreciation Week THANKS

Wow! We are so thankful for all the love we felt last week. From the kind and thoughtful notes, to the beautiful bouquets of flowers, to the special treats and lunches, and all the extra surprises throughout the week, we definitely felt a tremendous outpouring of love and support from students, families, and our PTO. Words, alone, cannot express our gratitude. THANK YOU ALL!

Multiplication and Division Facts

We are continuing our multiplication/division fact challenge...ice cream!  Please check in with your child and continue reviewing their multiplication and division facts, especially 6, 7, 8, and 9s.  :)

NWEA

This week, students will be finishing up the NWEA tests and will take the MATH portion on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday (if needed). It's been many weeks of testing, but we are almost done. We are proud of the efforts of our students to do their best. This week's schedule for NWEA is above. There is really no way students can "study" for these tests, but you can help your child be ready for these by:

  • Making sure your child has a good night's rest.
  • Making sure your child eats a healthy breakfast.
  • Providing a positive send off to school in the morning.
  • Not scheduling appointments on these days.

POTAWATOMI ZOO TRIP - THIS FRIDAY

We are getting very excited about the zoo! Just a reminder that we will be leaving Lincoln at 8:45am this Friday, May 17. We do not have space on the bus for chaperones that are going, so you must drive yourself. You are welcome to follow the bus. This is a free trip for students, but chaperones must pay their own admission. We will have students in small groups with chaperones, and we also have a 30 minute educational session for each class to attend. Please have your child wear good walking shoes and dress for the weather. We will be wearing our Lincoln School Shirts, so we can all keep a good eye on our students. Students will also need to bring a sack lunch, or if they previously ordered a sack lunch from school, that will be ready for them. We are looking forward to a great day!
