Mid-Year NWEA Testing
Many students have finished their mid-year NWEA testing, but some still need to finish this week. We will be doing make-ups throughout the week as needed.
Pizza Multiplication
We have been working very hard at learning many different strategies for solving multiplication problems. We are continuing to work on memorizing multiplication facts 1-10. We have started our pizza math incentive and will continue this for the month of February. Students will be working to earn a pizza party. For each multiplication level they pass, students will add another piece to make a whole pizza. Our pizza party will be on Friday, March 1st as we are needing more time for our pizza math due to all of the snow days. Please have your child continue working on their facts at home. Learning their multiplication facts will be key to their success in math.
Valentine's Day Party
We will have our class Valentine's Day celebration on Wednesday, February 14th. Your child is welcome to bring valentines to school to pass out to classmates. It is not mandatory to share valentines, but if the choice is made to bring them, please ensure that one is brought for everyone in our class and that each one is signed by your child. A class list will be sent home. Each class list is also linked below.
We will design Valentine bags in class so this will not need to be done at home. Completed valentines may be brought to school on February 14th. Each classroom teacher will reach out with more information on class parties.
