Save-the-Date
Our third graders will be presenting The Nutcracker for families and friends on Wednesday, December 20th at 5:00. The performance will be held at the SJHS auditorium. No tickets are needed and there is no cost for this event. The first performance is during the day at school as an assembly for the other students. Please make sure your student has their appropriate outfit on or with them for the school day. For the evening performance, please have your student arrive at the St. Joseph High School auditorium doors at 4:30 p.m. with their appropriate outfit on. We will be offering bus transportation to the high school for any student that needs that. If your student needs bus transportation, please let your student's classroom teacher know. There will be signs and adults to tell students and parents where to go. Once your student has found the right place, you may find a seat in the auditorium. The Lincoln performance will begin at 5:00 p.m. This performance is open to the public, so please invite anyone you’d like to come! This information and more, including costumes, practice videos, and the script, can be found at this website: https://sites.google.com/sjschools.org/lincoln-nutcracker
If you have any questions about the performance, please feel free to reach out to Ms. Mileham (amileham@sjschools.org).

Multiplication Facts
Please continue weekly multiplication fact practice from home. We started with the 0s, 1s, 2s, 5s, and 10s, but will now continue on to 3’s and 4’s. We are working on these in class, but many students will benefit from additional practice at home. Resources to use include: IXL F Skills, Flashcards, using items at home to make equal groups (for our more visual learners) examples would be: pennies, beads, popsicle sticks, etc. Here's another online card sort to try out.
Cold Weather
Now that we are getting into colder weather patterns, please check the weather so that your child has the necessary clothing--boots (when there is snow on the ground), hats, coats, and gloves/mittens--to be going out for recess. We do go out most days unless it is raining or below zero wind chills!
